As the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops states on their website, the Church’s catechetical mission aims to help the faithful of all ages to grow in both human and Christian maturity, enriching the whole of life with the leaven of the Gospel. In the many programs, groups, studies, and classes being offered at Our Lady of Knock Parish, it is this growth in understanding and maturity of faith that we try our best to provide.
These faith formation offerings come in two basic groups:
Youth Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation
By providing Youth Religious Education classes and programs for the children and teenage members of our churches, we are laying a foundation of faith in their minds and hearts that we truly hope will be able to guide and inspire them during their time in these programs and throughout their lives ahead.
By providing Adult Faith Formation classes and groups for the older members of our churches, we are recognizing that our religious education and formation is never over. As Catholics, it is our responsibility to continue to learn and grow in our faith throughout the whole of our lives. This effort can help us to constantly be engaged in our spiritual life and to grow in the relationship we each have with our God.
