Deacon Michael Torres was ordained on June 5, 2010, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. His first Diaconate assignment was St. Mary’s in East Hartford for 8 years, where he was also Director of Religious Education for 4 years. He was recently assigned for 7 years to St. Martha in Enfield. Deacon Torres graduated from UConn and received his MBA from the University of Hartford. In addition to Catholic ministries, Deacon Torres likes to empower the young generations by sharing his experience of faith. Deacon Torres also loves his new role as a grandfather!

Deacon Torres was an adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven and Goodwin University. He has currently worked as a Supervisor Chaplain in the Connecticut Department of Corrections for the past 14 years. He resides in Unionville and is excited to serve the parish community here at Our Lady of Knock.
