Finance Council
About

Canon Law and Archdiocesan policy require each parish to have a Finance Council to assist the pastor in fulfilling his administrative and financial responsibilities. The Our Lady of Knock Parish Finance Council is asked to meet at least quarterly to develop the annual budget, monitor and control expenditures, and prepare the year-end financial report. The committee collaborates with the Parish Council and other committees to ensure:
- That parish assets and facilities are adequately maintained
- That the proper level of resources is appropriated to liturgies, sacraments, ministries, programs, the cemetery, and major initiatives
- That all parish ministries become successful and maintain a healthy financial balance
- That financial controls are provided to both the parishioners and the Archdiocese of Hartford
- That the introduction of new programs correlated to finances, giving, stewardship, etc. are reviewed and made user-friendly to all members of the parish
